San Diego, CA - February 14, 2017 - Productive Computing, Inc., a Platinum member of the FileMaker Business Alliance, is proud to announce the release of Vessel Service Solutions (VSS) version 2.4.0.0. This vertical solution was designed for the marine assistance industry and operates as a virtual command center to manage vessel assistance orders. VSS version 2.4 offers additional functionality, new iPad and iPhone layouts, and new QuickBooks functionality.

What is VSS?
VSS utilizes FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go to allow captains to fully digitalize the entire tow order process from beginning to end. As soon as distress calls are received, any employee has the ability to send mobile orders from the office or an iOS device to themselves or other in-field captains. The captain receives the order on an iPad and, after assisting the boater, updates and submits the order to dispatch for final processing. VSS also allows invoices and items to be pushed one at a time or in batches to QuickBooks via the FM Books Connector.

Updates in version 2.4 focus on the mobile functionality available with FileMaker Go and include:
- Access on an iPhone using FileMaker Go
- Dispatch orders remotely from an iPad or iPhone
- Create new orders on the iPad with no internet connection
- Manage multiple tower IDs and assign IDs to ports
- Automatically create timer entries when submitting orders to dispatch
- Push multiple invoices to QuickBooks at one time

This release also features updates to the Orders, Fuel Log, Maintenance, and Reports modules for improved ease of use, protection against bad data entry, and increased automation. To accompany this release, there are new instructional videos that review all new features and additional tips and tricks for using the system.
